Reset service light oil life indicator dashboard Acura CSX

Reset service light indicator, engine oil life, dashboard oil life indicator Acura CSX, year: 2006-2010, instructions for manually resetting the trip computer:

  • Turn the ignition to position 2 (do not start the engine).
  • Press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel until you see the engine oil life display.
  • Press and hold the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display.
  • Select RESET by pressing the INFO (▲/▼) button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
  • Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Reset the coloured indicator by inserting the key in the slot below the indicator

1999-2003

Turn the key to off position.
Press and hold the SELECT and RESET buttons on the instrument panel and turn the ignition to position (II) – do not start the engine.
Hold the SELECT and RESET buttons until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2005-2010

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the up or down arrow to scroll the DIC to show OIL LIFE.
Once the XXX% ENGINE OIL LIFE menu item is highlighted, press and hold the RESET button until the percentage shows 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Press the range button until the OIL LIFE INDEX is displayed.
Press and hold the AVERAGE SPEED and RANGE buttons until the display resets to 100.
Turn the ignition to off and start engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

To reset CHANGE OIL SOON/OIL CHANGE REQUIRED message on the Message Center, press the SETUP control to access the System Check mode. Press and release the RESET button to display

“OIL LIFE % HOLD RESET NEW” is

displayed. Press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds until “IF NEW OIL HOLD RESET” is displayed. Press and hold RESET button until “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” is displayed.
