How do you reset oil service light Jaguar XF.

  1. Press and hold rear fog lamp switch Ignition on, do not start engine.
  2. Release rear fog lamp switch.
  3. Press and hold trip button (end of left side stalk).
  4. Press and hold rear fog lamp switch See resetting service light message in message center.
  5. The rear fog light switch is just below the trunk release on the lower left side of the steering wheel.
  6. The message center is between the speedo and tach ,bar, not the touch screen.

How do you reset oil service light Jaguar XJ whit diesel engine. From year: 2008.

  1. Press and hold reset button then turn ignition on.
  2. Release reset.
  3. Press and hold trip button.
  4. When holding trip button, press and hold reset button.
  5. Continue to hold both buttons for 10 seconds ( Message centre should display message like RESETTING SERVICE followed by SERVICE RESET ).

Numbers 1 to 4 need to be done within 3 seconds otherwise it will time out.

1.Swith ignition on.

2.Press the menu reset button untill the service interval is displayed.

3.Repeatedly press the Step button untill to set mileage to next service.

4.Press the C/T button untill the display changes.

5.Tap the Step button untill ‘yes’ appears.

6.Press tghe C/T button then switch off ignition

  1. Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
  2. Press and release the SETUP button to display “OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW”.
  3. Press and hold the RESET button for two seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100% and “OIL LIFE SET TO 100%” is displayed.
  4. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset
