Instructions to reset service indicator 2009-2010

  • Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine/ one push of START/STOP button).
  • Press and release SETUP to display “OIL LIFE XXX% HOLD RESET = NEW”.
  • Press and hold RESET for 2 seconds and release to reset the oil life to 100%.
  • Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Instructions to reset service indicator 2000-2006

  • Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
  • Press the STATUS control to access the System Check function.
  • Press RESET to reset oil %.
  • Press and hold the RESET control to set to 100%. After a successful reset, the message centre will display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%.
  • Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock and immediately press the MI (MILES)button twice.
Within 10 seconds, return the key to position 0 in the ignition lock.
Press and hold the button (MI). Turn the key to position 2 in the ignition lock. Keep the button (MI) pressed.
The maintenance indicator with the current remaining time/distance is shown. After about 10 seconds, an acoustic signal will sound and the maintenance indicator is displayed with the new remaining time/distance. Release the button MI(KM).
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
